COMBAT, a literary magazine, seeks to promote
the free expression of facts and opinions, including the right to
seek, receive, or impart information and ideas through any
medium, regardless of conventional boundaries or artificial
barriers.
The publication of this periodical, and the maintenance of its
archive, does not waste any commodities, squander any renewable
resources, threaten any endangered reserves, imperil any
protected biota, nor harm any sane individuals, regardless of
race, creed, color, sex, age, disability, origin, affiliation, or
even sapience. Social intercourse with the authors and/or staff
of this publication may jeopardize one's native aggression,
natural ignorance, innate vanity, or inherent egocentrism,
without particular guarantee, which transformation would
constitute an anomalous public service were it not sporadic and
serendipitous ... just like all other mutable and capricious
intangibles.
The nutritional value of this online publication, which
is manufactured from all-natural ingredients, containing no
artificial elements or preservatives, as a high-energy,
low-calorie, high-fiber, low-fat, vitamin enriched, nutritious
and savory brain food, has been rated by an independent
testing laboratory, based upon the consumption of a single
webpage per serving, as being much better than
talk radio and far superior to the
vast wasteland of television! ... the dietary needs of
each individual may vary depending upon their age or activity,
antecedents or atmosphere. Over-indulgence and other abuses are
not recommended.
COMBAT magazine endorses the diversity of
opinion protected by the constitution and statutes of the United
States of America, but is not responsible for
their particular expression in any specific utterance placed in
public circulation by this periodical. The views and conclusions
expressed in this periodical are not necessarily
commensurate with those of the editorial staff or publisher, and
should not be construed as official policy
statements or authoritative recommendations of this publication.
No resource or referral, product or service associated with or
cited by this magazine, its host or archive, shall be construed
as an affiliation or endorsement, unless otherwise stated,
explicitly and unequivocally.
Every effort will be made to ensure the accuracy of all
information contained in every composition published in
COMBAT magazine. It is understood that
literary license prevails in this venue, and
that any factual discrepancy which does not detract from the
spirit or substance of a work shall be permitted, after due
consultation between editor and author, to remain extant.
Whenever detected, previously unknown errors will be corrected,
and any alteration from the copyrighted version appropriately
catalogued ... but, alas, the reader should be aware that the
editors and contributors are merely imperfect mortals. By his
sole and prudent judgement, the publisher will ascertain what
constitutes a sufficient and valid erratum worthy of
notation or revision; as distinguished from trivial oversights
and other niggling epiphenomena detected by purported mavens,
ostensible neurotics, and other delusional persons afflicted with
a compulsion to demonstrate their alleged mental or moral
superiority. Whenever mistakes are discovered, they will be
rectified on the master copy of the issued magazine, and
published in the corrigenda.
All quibbles, complaints, objections, counters, exceptions,
excuses, or other attacks upon the compositions of the authors,
the competence of the staff, their dubious provenance or
debatable antecedence must be written legibly and cogently on
clean material (eg: paper) in contrasting ink (nb: no crayon or
lipstick, please) and signed (nb: no DNA samples
are required) by the distraught bigots demanding redress or
remedy. All threats of retaliation, of kidnapping for ransom, or
of grievous bodily harm shall be added to our magnificent
collection of dunning statements, eviction notices, and rejection
slips, which are maintained for the entertainment of our
executors. Personal confrontations may not be quite as harmless.
Complying with all applicable copyright laws is the
responsibility of the reader, researcher, librarian, or other
user of this publication. Without limiting the rights of the
publisher and content providers under applicable copyright
conventions, no part of this publication may be reproduced,
stored in a retrieval system, used in a processing program, or
transmitted in any form or by any means (electronic, mechanical,
photocopying, recording, or otherwise) or for any purpose,

Except as expressly provided in any written agreement or sanction
from the publisher of COMBAT magazine, the
furnishing of this publication does not give any implied or
implicit license to these materials, styles, trademarks,
copyrights, or other intellectual property. Although this
publication meets all Section 508 requirements, disability access
and other special forms of single-user adaptation shall not be
construed as a waiver of intellectual property rights by any
contributors or the publisher. The publisher of this material

the content of this publication is strictly prohibited, and may
be punishable under select federal codes and international
conventions. Unless otherwise noted, all material published
herein reserves copyright to the author or
