Acceptance
I'll smile and look upon the Sun
Through towering Thunderheads,
Seen to run
From pewter skies of darkened past
Where shadows upon shoulders, once were cast
In time of misspent idle youth
I'll seek forgiveness with hidden truth
Seek acceptance for the beguiled
Mourn the Loss of innocent's child
That I once was in ages past
The shadow, it comes, and is quick to cast
Its darkness over brighter day
As sleep brings close, to evenings grey
We were proud to wear Pegasus, upon our sleeves
Summers leaves that have fallen with Autumn's breeze
And rest in peace, under old Yew trees
The wall that surrounds is high and hard
The keys to our past, slumber deep in our hearts
Come stand with me amongst broken shell
And walk with me through Shattered Hell
Which I once saw as valley green
But war has rent this place to be
A silent grave, through Emerald field
As Crimson Lane, crosses bubbling stream
Like Henry's Yeomen on Crispin's Day
We answered the call and seized the day
In dawn's cold, and rain soaked grey
They'd set the trap ... And within we lay
Our bodies flayed by Iron Nail
Our blood we spent, seeking out our Grail
As Thunderheads passed, across misspent youth
Our Dreams we lost ... Amongst the Truth.
