The Burning Eye
Because it is the very pit
That I must remain to sit
Contained in this bodily form
I flare into the fervor of
Blazing haze and gaze
In amazement at the daze
For it is I, the most intelligent dummy
To yearn to change
The unchanged ways
And learn never changing ways
Wildly fighting the fought battle
Yet still battling to win
The winning loss
Oh for it is I
Who has passed failure
The blade is held
At the highest of high points
Pointed in a pinpointing
Direction
Directly at the targeted enemy
The fiendish opponent
The bull's-eye
Is at all times
Eye to eye
What burn I? I burn I
I will remain burned
In this burning eye
Flashy fire eyes
Pitted in the pit
In this seething ash I sit
Daring the dagger
To dig deep
At the smoldering smash
To scorn the scorched
And burn the broken
Igniting injury
In the blaze of glory
Said I
That is the only
Road I have chosen
To change in this ever so changing
Unchanged eye
