Armed Forces Honor Code of Ethics
I will not lie. I will be honest with all members of my
profession and myself. I hold my honor as an Armed Forces member
above all else.
I will not steal. I will respect the property of others and the
Armed Forces at all times. I will protect all property placed in
my care, now and in the future.
I will be respectful to others. I will strive to not miss an
opportunity to extend common courtesies to my fellow military
professionals.
I am proud to be a member of the Armed Forces. I will guard and
defend my Country against any and all that oppose her, anywhere.
I take my oath of enlistment seriously and will uphold the
tradition of professionalism this oath relates to.
I will obey the orders of those appointed over me to the best of
my ability. I understand discipline and obedience to orders are a
cornerstone of the Armed Forces. Should I fail to meet these
expectations, I will have undermined the ability of the Armed
Forces to meet mission goals.
I will wear my uniform with pride and distinction at all times. I
am proud of what the uniform represents and that I have been
permitted to wear this uniform in service to my Country.
I will not allow any person to degrade another and I will uphold
the provisions of the Constitution of the United States of
America, which states that all people are created equal. I will
govern my dealings with others regardless of race, gender,
religion, or National origin.
I will keep myself physically fit and mentally prepared for any
duty which my Country calls upon me to fulfill.
I will pay respect to our Flag. I understand it is a symbol of
freedom and unity among the people of our great Nation, and I
must be prepared to defend the ideals for which it stands.
