War Pause

It's the little things that really matter the most.
I enjoy the taste of treated swamp-water coffee washing down some stale rations.
I love the smell of cordite at the crack of dawn,
and the lingering odor of napalm in the twilit evening breeze.
I look forward to a smoke and a dump before setting the nightly ambush.
After another long hard day at war,
it's the pause that truly refreshes!
